I have a learning disability but didn't petition for more time on the MCAT (my disability didn't affect that test, I got 99 percentile )

I know many people who've gotten more time and other considerations for taking the MCAT. Petitions are looked at on a case by case basis. It could very well be that their "disabilities" do not meet the criteria for special consideration. Maybe they're just trying to feel special, get pity, or get money or an easy way out. Of course I am not one of those students and I don't know all the facts, so I said maybe.

As for the clash of learning disabilities vs. medicine: at my school in subjects or tests that it is deemed necessary for public health, no more time or other considerations are given. If it is determined the student didn't do well due to their disability then they will still pass, but will be barred from doing that specific procedure, etc.
