No the place I am refering to is behind St Julians Creek Annex just down the road from Norfolk Naval Shipyard. There is an Alcoa plant right next to it between the backside of St J's and the plant. I havent been out there in a very long time.

Well for some reason my tranny is behaving. I think a combination of low fluid and wrong fluid(Merc5?) maybe the cause. I think the A4LD is supposed to use Dextron III. I guess I should look that up

Man, i havent been getting home until after 5 lately, ive been out in suffolk doing a remodel. What do u work on sat? Anyways the steering is getting pretty stiff. I am now thinking either pump or i somehow got something into the rack/pinion.

I wonder if you put the frontend in the air and turn the wheel slow with the motor off if you would feel any binding. Might need to remove the filler cap because it squirt all over the place if not. This may sound stupid, but you did check your fluid right? On the other hand I had a rental once that when you let off the gas to idle the power steering would go away. Almost drove into a fence trying to make a u-turn

when it comes to steering stuff i am kinda nervous about junk yard parts. I got under it again today while it was on the ground. The tierods didnt budge ball joints looked good and snug, the pass half shaft had alittle play in and out, very little. the driver side had just a touch more. I guess ill have to pull the wheel and start checking stuff. I am starting to lean toward a binding cv joint though. It is one of 2 things left i havent changed yet.

I have a junkyard steering box in mine. But I can understand the concern.
