I guess the answer it depends on what you want to do with it. The 5R55 series was the culmination of an evolutionary process that had growing pains along the way. Most of the previous major bugs have been engineered out - but It is still not a really robust transmission. Not really meant for extended towing for example. It is better suited to the smaller size of the SPORT than the full size. Overall I'd say the 5R is an OK transmission. If you plan to tow at all or use it offroad you might want to investigate an auxillary cooler.
