Check out aeroturbine instead of flowmaster...I know flowmaster is more prominent, but it still has a restrictive flow design when compared to the aeroturbine. As far as cab noise.....I don't know...I don't have mine installed yet, but if you read the website they seem to think it's pretty good. 'Course, I'm sure some of that is just marketing fluff.

I have a magnaflow. It sounds great and I noticed a def.It didn't sound as deep as I wanted it to at first, but it wore in and keeps sounding better as it gets more miles on it. Noticed a def. diff. in acceleration between that and my KKM Filter.

You want quiet in the cab? Go 50 Series SUV. You won't hear a thing.

Yea definately go 50 not 40 series. I have a 4.0 with cut off 40 series and it is loud as any V8. My cousin has 5.0 with 50 series and unless he gets on the gas you can't hear a thing. I think I got a little more power out of my 40 series though.

I beg to differ. I still get a fair bit of cabin drone in my Sport. I even through down a lot of sound deadener under the carpet in the rear. I have up trying to quieten it up and just dealt with it. I tried to get the sound down in my X in anticipation of our baby being born (on 10/21), but it doesn't seem to bother him.

I am looking for a performance muffler that will not emit any interior resonace in my Sport Trac. I was thinking along the line of a turbo muffler, but am not sure.

I've got a Magnaflow too. Low miles (maybe a few weeks). Sitting in the rafters in my garage.

I think my ears are still ringing from a road trip I took with the Magnaflow on. Hence, the Flowie on there now.

I just had a Flowmaster Delta Flow 50 installed on my X with 2.25 piping. You notice the sound a bit upon acceleration but absolutely nothing at cruising speeds. The wife didn't even know i had it done...

I completely agree with buffaloxpolorer. My cousins is not even exsistent unless he gets on the gas. People think he has a 4.o or 4.6 until he gets on the gas and then the 5.0 comes to life.

How much do you want? I might be swayed from purchasing an Aeroturbine for the right amount of $.

I can't be bothered to ship it. If you lived in town, I'd do a deal in person but it would be a pain to ship. I already cut myself on it trying to stuff it in the Flowmaster box (The Magnaflow is bigger). Lots of sharp edges from where it got cut off. I'll keep it in reserve unless someone from Calgary wanted to do a deal. Then I'd sell it in a hearbeat.

Sorry.

In all honesty, it's not a bad muffler. I really got annoyed with the sound at times, and it was welded into the factory pipes with a resonator inline. I can't imagine what it might sound like with larger pipers and no resonator. I think "Hokie" has some well documented posts about how the sound got to him as well. If I had done my research before, I would have got a Flowmaster from day 1.
