Yall have a nice turkey day

My wife is sort of bummed as I, her parents are gone as mine are, uncles and aunts as well.
Is a natural process as one gets older I suppose, Two of our oldest kids live out of state, they have new familys of there own and new traditions to begin.
We will be cooking for three tommorrow, Turkey, ham, yams, mashed spuds.
Will be a great day.
To alliviate some of our lack of family we went out , bought a 50 lb sack of spuds, four turkey birds and four hams, hauled them down to a local San jose homeless chapter, makes ya feel good, makes ya feel like you have a huge family.
Have a great T'day everyone

Happy thanksgiving to my American neighbours! For the record, I took the day off just to watch both the Detroit and Dallas games. Hope you all have a good holiday.
Spindle: that's awesome what you and the wife did, should make your day, and others', just a little more special.

Happy Thanksgiving guys. Spindlecone, keep up the good work. I know where your at from a different perspective. My mother-in-law has a boyfriend out of state and is spending time with him. My father-in-law can't be trusted further than you can throw him and has a new family to spend time with. My parents... well I love them but, they cant stop making trouble with my wife. I guess you might think its a sad situation, but I have the best people to spend Thanksgiving day with. My wife and four kids and that beats a pair of parents anytime.

In Canada, it's a celebration of good fortune and a bountiful harvest, a tradition brought over from early European settlers.
