fuseing ?'s

well as some of you know i am going to build a roof and add some more lights ,

so i am looking to upgrade my wiring rats nest with a 8 or 10 fuse block. i have a twin 30 amp the "super big ones" one for my amp and the other powering all my lights, the block had no ground wire, ok i did not think it deeded one. So now i am looking at tyhe 8-10 blocks and some of them have ground wires why.

ps ebay this is what i an looking for.

thanks
charlie

If you want to run a circuit and not use the body for a ground you would run a ground wire. This would seem to me not to make any difference as long as the body ground is a clean, good ground. Just be sure to ground ea. circuit at the box to the body.

No, you would just run one wire(hot). You know, now that I have said that, I'm not sure thats right if your useing a fuse block. If your useing an in-line fuse I'm sure you can just run a hot wire BUT you may have to run a ground wire if your useing a fuse block to complete the circuit.

Edit: The more I think about this the more I think you do have to run a ground wire from the fuse block.

ya the more i think about it it would be a pain in the ass to run a ground along with a hot, so i will just ground every thing near each light,

thanks sir,

well i got at Blue Sea fuse block w/12 curcuts, $31. Its made for boats.

and well the ground bus as it is called, is used to ground stuff on boats that are glassed, or as i am going to do i am going to ground all of my switch ground to it.

BTW what is the diff in ONE big as 30 amp fuse and a reg sized 30 amp one?
