Headlights and/or Parking lamps?

I've got a 2000 XLT. When pressing the lock button twice on the remote, or pressing the panic button, do both sets of lights come on. On mine, only the parking lamps come on. Is this normal?

I believe that is normal. On my '96, when i press lock 2x (to confirm that it is locked), the horn sounds and the parking & taillamps illuminate.

My headlights come on when I press the lock button 2 times or hit the panic button.

The headlights on my old '95 came on when hitting the button twice.

on my 2001, only my corner lights come on when I hit the lock button twice.
