I've got a '93 4x4 XLT that I'm currently outfitting to tow my 21' travel trailer. I've been looking at air springs from Air Lift, Firestone, Goodyear...anybody have any suggestions/experience with these? What's the best make/model for the Explorer, and where's the cheapest place to buy them??
Thanks, TimR><> |

Tim: I just purchased the Air Lift for $379 installed at Argo Enterprises in Buena Park, CALIF (714)562-2701 for a 1999 Explorer 4x4. It was the best price I could find, and the company came highly recommended from a repair shop I have used for years. The Air Lift impressed me more that the Firestone (Firestone makes the crappy AT Wilderness tires on the Explorer) and "Chuck" at Air Lift was patiently helpful in fielding my inquiries (800) 248-0892. I also added 4 KYB shocks at the same time. Hope that helps.
