I was wondering if anyone has experienced a problem with a 2001 sport 4x4 with shaking throughout the whole body when traveling above 65 mph. I had the brakes and rotors checked, new tires and balancing and the problem seems to be there. My tire mechanic told me that it could be the transfer case. Can someone please advise?

I dont know if Sports were included, but 01 Sport tracs had unbalanced drive shafts that vibrated bad above 65 like yours, there was a TSB to replace them with a aluminum one. Just a thought.

thanks for the input. I am new to the form. Does TFB mean a service bulletin?

Yes, TSB = traffic safety bulletin (?)

TSB or not, a couple bad u-joints could definitely cause that. Check for excessive play at all locations. Not expensive to fix if you can do it yourself, and not terrible if you can't. I had the front D/s replaced recently and it made a world of difference at & above 55mph - smoothe as can be now
