dont start hacking up your hood structure!

those doors need pockets/and or nets for all your crap I think Rick just uses fanny packs all over his roll cage. Wallet still manages to slip out under the door...hahaha

Looking good. People on other forums are watching your progress as well. ;thumbsup;

Yeah, cut all the bracing out from under the hood and use 4 hoodpins.
That's a hellava idea. Used the chrome hood pins years ago on one of my 55 chevys. But it was more just for looks. I can't stand it, I've got to get started on it in the morning. I'll weigh it first though. I lost about 80 pounds on the doors.

I hit the wrong button and had to edit it. I was just wondering what happens at the other end. I have bilateral carpel tunnel in both hands and have had operations. But very little help. The Dr. told me I would never be able to use the metal snips again. HA HA that was over 4 years ago. I guess my brain just donsn't know it yet. I no there was to other sites someone told me. And I there is a Bronco site that I just got on not to long ago that was watching. I really never bothered or even seen the other. Hell they'll all die of old age before this thing gets done anyway. No matter what it is this site that helped me and I'll never forget it and will give you guys the credit. Even 410 HA HA

Just added: the carpal tunnell is why i have such a hard time posting anything, I can hardly feel the keys and coupled with artritis my fingers dont move very well. Just an age thing

I know you want to finish it at some point, but I think you (and the rest of us) are having a lot of fun right now.

It's too late. Brian talked me into it That hood was way to heavy, what was Ford thinkin? I'll skin it then add appropreate bracing.

It's just a mere shadow of itself. And still trimming. That behemoth weighed 40 pounds!!!
I would like to use the hinge maybe, Removing 4 hood pins could be a PINA, but I would like to get rid of all that back hinge metal, it's doubled walled, but for sure Hood pins up front. There is no hood latch hardware on hood anymore. This means I can also get rid of all that hood latch crap on the cross over piece above radiator. That will now be a smooth piece across. And may even be able to modify the new cross over piece so I dont have to relocate the fill on the rad. since it sets under this piece. Jamie I can allways ad a neat little fabric snap bag or door. Then again, I'll just buy some extra Cargo pants Just thinking, might be abe to use exposed hinges on top rear like my old Land Cruiser or Jeep. But the curveture of hood might not let me. Just a thought.

I say keeop the factory hinges, getting them out of the BII on the firewall side is a real PITA (welded, thanks Ford!) and 4 pin hoods are a PITA.

Where are the louvers and scoops?
The Jeep hinges would be cool because then you could add lights there (start buying neato aftermarket Jeep stuff. ) They would work, but it might cover up part of your cowl vents.

OH and that BBQ grill looks a little heavy too

Dip stick shis-ka-bobs with a hint of 10w-40 (for sauce). You could use some tranny fluid sometimes as well for variety. Hmm...yummy.

How did you know that LOL. This was taken yesterday. These are some old burnt out thoroughbred race horses that are kept at the farm that I hunt on. There not mine. But I like to feed them. There jittery as hell, it took me some time to get close to them on the atv to let me feed them. Now as soon as they hear that thing they come running HA HA. That grill does come in handy, had a nice venison steak today. That way I don't have to go into the kitchen and get my allways grimy hands on everything. Running out of good nutritional food, OH well bow season for deer is right around the corner. Don't like to eat that assembly line meat HA HA

Allright just finished that WD-40 shis-ka-bob and took a ride on the atv.
Had to add this brace. It was so flimsy when it was bolted up. I figured I would have to add something. But that triangulation support did the trick. I'v been looking for a hood scoop that I can cut into the hood and be functional also. There has been several on this site that looks good. It seems around here (where I live) everbody has the two little Lund type scoops. Tired of those.
