Shootout at Hoover Dam

http://www.azcentral.com/news/articl...ootout-ON.html

Has anyone heard about this outside of Arizona? I haven't seen a thing about it on Fox or CNN.

I wrote to O'Reilly last night after not hearing a thing about it on the news.

Bill,

How is it that Fox and CNN failed to cover this story today or did I just miss it? http://www.azcentral.com/news/articl...ootout-ON.html

I find it VERY strange that this hasn't made the national news "talk of the day" routine. This was a hell of a deal... 3 carjackings, one being a DPS car, and a shoot out at a Homeland Security checkpoint. This isn't worthy of national attention?

The article didn't give much background on the security checkpoints so I'll clue you in. Since 9/11 the dam has had armed guards stationed at checkpoints on both ends. No commercial trucks can cross at all. RVs and passenger cars have to go through the checkpoint. Trunks are opened, RVs are entered and searched. Immediatley after 9/11 National Guardsmen were also stationed at the checkpoints. I don't know if they're still there or not. From what I gathered from the article in order for this guy to do what he did, he had to blow the Nevada check point, get across the dam which has steel barriers that can be raised to stop vehicles, get through the AZ check point on a 2 lane road, and then make it all the way to Kingman which is about 60 minutes from the 2nd checkpoint. And this isn't plastered all over the news? Who was this guy?
