figured that would get your attention.
Ok. This is my registry.
. Well changes happened and i will not be able to do my sas as planned. so i should still be doing a 4 superlift.
First Off. ME
ME. i am in the army, i've hit the rank of Sgt. Been to Iraq twice. what fun. I ejoy long walks on the beach and sunset on where ever that was... anyways scouts out...
my explorer :
The plans were the following : lots of junk. MY uncle own a custom chassis shop back home in michigan *hint* (to those of you there) and can bend up to 2 inch doim tubing, rollcage, bumpers, sliders... you know the works. But the wifey had to (not on purpose) wreck the heep she drove. Which changed my plans. BY a long shot.
Ok what i had managed to get done.
1. Stealth install on the CB radio.
i took a corba 75wx and a dremel... and fit it in below the cup holders like so : (all pictures comeing when i figure out how to resize or someone can help me with it). The only thing you see is nothing. nice aint it. Its wired in to the fuse panel. Total install including seat removal 2 hours.
2. Brown wire mod.. Did it while doing the above... -removed
3. Custom KC light wiring harness. MY switches are mounted in the console front and easy to use. - this is an in progress thing right now doing some more on it today (29 June 2004) update they are in talk about a pia, relays work and power is good. Took out the brown wire mod.. i have questions on it that i have to answer before i do it.
4. Body lift. - 3' PA everyone has seen it, easy to do..
5. (inprogress). Custom mounted 10's and amp in fiberglass boxes in the rear cargo area. I hate fiberglass
6. 4.56 gearing
cause it cant be gut less after the lift. ok i got the gears in and they are sweet. yes one tooth needed a little bit of clearanceing to make them fit. thanks to my pops i now have a new drivers side wheel bearing, torque the nut down its not good to just be finger started
7. purple cranium rear diffy cover (half) spider. This is by far easy to do. change you gear lube if you decide to do so, cause you know its been forever since you felt like doin it. (need to go grab a pic of this)
8. Grab Handles. - my wife complaines cause she's short and has to hop to get in. So she wanted grab handles. Off to the junk yard i went. After searchin hi and low i found a bmw 525i with nice roof mounted ones. heres what they looked like:
20 bucks and two hours with a dremel they came out like this:
if anyone wants more info on any of these, let me know i'll post a seperate page and write up of them.
i'll finish this later peoples and add more to it
i almost forgot... the comparison picture.. could have done a better one but this gives the idea.
* i think mine could be the one on the right *
front bumper, ok i got all tube works bent up and welded just need to make some attachment points for recovery and put on the skid plate. i'll get pictures up when i get back home. oh amd the rear bumper is lifted to the right spot again
