dash and cruise control lighting

all of the sudden i have a dim spot on my speedo and also the right side of my steering wheel no longer lights up...... any ideas? has this happened to anyone else?

By 'the right side of the steering wheel' I assume you mean the cruise control switch. Not sure about the dim spot on the speedo but the cruise control switches have bulbs and they can easily be replaced. It has been discussed here many times and you should be able to find alot of info about it.
