| Ham Radio - CB - Trail Communications I have found that fourwheeling and ham radio go hand in hand. Post any questions or comments about the great hobby of amateur radio here. Of course CB'ers are welcome also. Ray, AE6H and Joe, N1LVN both moderate this forum. |

antenna length prefrences
Ok guys i got a question to ask...Do you think that a 63" antenna mounted in the hood lip is too long? I ask this because i put one on there and it seems a bit long, but its not higher than my other one that WAS on my roof (the antenna was shorter, but it was on my roof). should i just go buy a firestik and return this long one?

Who are you trying to communicate with ? Trail or road work ? Trail work only requires a relatively short antenna like the Lil Wil or maybe a 2 or 3 foot Flex i-whip, all by Wilson or a 3 or 4 foot Firestik. Road work, you may want something longer. Ltr |
