My Oil Pressure gauge isn't working Dead Link Removed. Spent the day taking the instrument cluster off so I could check behind it. I'm getting voltage at the 'B' contact (14.46) and at the 'S' contact (-0.02)
There's continuity in the sending unit wiring.
Chilton's talks of testing the gauge with a special tool (Rotunda Gauge Tester) but I don't want to make that special investment.
Can I just use a jumper from the B to S contacts to see if the gauge moves without damaging it?? Dead Link Removed
I considered changing out the sending unit, but it's location will require moving the power steering, and maybe the AC compressor just to get to it (front of engine on driver's side just below valve covers).
Any help/tips would be appreciated
