Well, I see you are from Sweden. So was my grandmother.
Your truck has OnBoard Diagnostics II (OBDII). When the transmission has a problem, it sets a code and starts flashing the light at you. It takes an OBDII code reader for Fords to have the code read. Some European shops that work on U.S. vehicles will have the reader, and some Ford dealers will, but not many.
You did not mention that you were having a problem with your transmission - just the light.
In some cases, if the transmission is working ok (shifting up and down thru the gears like it should, overdrive works ok) and you can't feel any apparent problems, then you need to change the transmission fluid and filter. Doing the required maintenance is important to getting a long life from these transmissions.
If you CAN feel a problem with the transmission, then you will need to get the codes read to see what is happening in the transmission.
An OBDII code reader for Fords can be found on Ebay for about 40.00 U.S. I am sure you could find one on similar European websites.
Hope that helps!
