-96 4x4. Don't understand, need help

Hi there.
This is not my first time with this issue, last time Joe - Alias gijoecam did a good job helping me to understand all the basics.
Past few weeks I have had some problems with my 4x4. Diagnosing it has been difficult due to lack of snow and ice. Usually my 4x4 is just fine but every now and then it goes like this: when turning to left or right I can hear noise, it sound like an old brake shoe which is just about to lock up (no lights flashing). Noise goes away when I switch from 4WD Auto to 2WD. Another symptom is: When I drive straight ahead on snow (4WD Auto on) and floor it a bit, front start digging and I can hear noise: popping 20 times/second noise level is low (no lights flashing). I think it could be magnetic clutch, I just don't understand what could cause it. GEM has set code once; both lights six times so at least one speed sensor is almost gone. And today when I was parking my trailer there was snow about five inches. Didn't have any problems while reversing on 4x4 LOW, when I was leaving; going forward was really difficult it felt like only rear was pulling. At that moment 4x4 Low light was off but the switch was on. I have Digimoto Lite 1.06 and Mobydic OBD scanner: No codes was set (Lite is free to download so...). Later today I tested my ex again, this time all was fine. I have tested many times: 4x4 Auto will always engage front axle, I'm able to turn (bare hands) front axle only little before it engage.
