what are the best fog/driving lights in walmart/autozone, etc...

I'm looking to buy a set of driving/fog lights but don't want to mess with ebay, etc. nor do I want to spend a bunch of money for them... (if that was the case, then I could just buy a set of h.i.d. fog/driving lights)

I've seen a couple of nice kits at walmart, autozone, but given the "cheapness" of them, I'm wondering if they are worthed...

that's why I want to ask if anybody knows/suggests the best available kit from local parts store (e.g., autozone, advanced autoparts, etc.) of waltmart, etc.

b.t.w., i have an '04 x xls (w/o fog sockets)...

thanks

I've got 4 of the $15 proburner fogs from walmart in my front bumper and 2 under the back bumper. I bought them cause they're so cheap you can replace the whole light just as easy as changing a bulb. They work great but the adjuster screws are already starting to rust and they've only been on there a month.

proburner? i might take a look at those... i bought a little pair of round blue thingies, i think they are laser white or something like that, they come with a blue lens...

I agree with that... me too... finally got tired of looking for better (and expensive) bulbs... just decided that since i can't affort hid, i'd just put more lights...

thanks for input

I got the Blazer ones, they come in packs of 2 and look like the OEM foglights for my '95. pretty good light output too. The big round ones are pretty OK too.

great...

i saw some that came with projectors at autozone... they look pretty good... and they had a $10 discount... (from $45 down to $35)...

does anybody got the kind with blue glass or bulb? do they look blue/white/etc? how difficult were they to install?

have any pics?

also, all of the ones that I've seen say that they might get really hot, do you keep them on all the time while driving? or just when needed?

Subscribing because I'm all about the inexpensive lighting =D

I had 4 of the Blazer's mounted on my front bumper, two of them with 100 watt bulbs.

I have a set of rectangular one's I took off of mine when I went to projectors. They have the purple tint glass. You can have them, just pay the shipping. I even have a new harness I can throw in too. They worked good, but they don't compare to the output of HID's. I can post pics if you are interested.

Throw them on the top of the bumper in front of the grill. I did that on my 96.

HERE is an interesting write up regarding fog lights.

Great find on the fog light article. I copied it to the FAQs.

Thanks, Scotty
