PIAA 525 question

Well i just ordered some PIAA 525's for my sport when off the beaten path to light up everything. What kind of mounting hardware do they come with? Are they bolt on and what size bolts would they be? I am trying to figure this out so i can mount them on my grill guard. I need to know for the reason that i will have to buy a drill bit so i can make the hole. Anyone know???

Thanks jon

Just wait till you get them. They may be MM. Take the bracket with you when you buy the drill bits. I said bits because you might want to get a starter bit. Besides you may want some more items like wire ties, wire loom, lock washers and what length bolts.

my question is what did other people get with their PIAA's? It says it comes with hardware but it did not say exactly what it came with. Was it bolts or screws? I am in the middle of nowhere so i have to get the parts when i am in town. The hardware store is only open 4 days a week and i have to drive 20 miles to get there. I plan on wheeling this weekend coming up so i want to make sure i get the right size bolts so i can put them in on friday when they are set to come in. If anyone has these PLEASE let me know what size bolts they are.

Thanks, Jon

This site shows that it has a furnished bolt that is attached to the mounting bracket. Then you would drill a hole and attache the supplied nut. This is the way my Hella lights came. So all you need is some assorted drill bit sizes. To bad the diagram does not show what size bolt that is furnished.
Hope this helps a little. I can't imagine the drill bit being any smaller then 1/4 and no larger then 5/8 or equiv. MM sizes. Just get yourself one of those drill bit boxes that have assorted sizes and you will be good to go. I would get metric but standard american will work, just get one thats close enough.

Just click on the pic and it shows bolt and nut

I have piaa 525's.I mounted them on my grill guard origanally with no modification.
Now they are on my front bumper. They have a typical nut and bolt mount. I believe
I used a 1/2 inch bit to drill the holes in the bumper. They have a 17mm nut on them.
I hope this is what you are looking for.

Thanks for the info. I have tools but most of them are at home and that is in the opposite direction. I rather spend 4 or 5 bucks for a bit or two rather than 50 for gas just to go back home to pick them up.
