bw1354 parts interchangable? (different years)

The chain in my transfercase is stretched again. Are all bw1354's out of Rangers of 1st Gen Explorers interchangable when it comes to the chain? I'm thinking of buying a cheapo bw1354 case and swapping the chain into my transfercase.

It's the 2nd transfercase that the chain has stretched in about 16 months now, is there anything noticable that would cause this problem? Any help is appreciated.

From what I've seen in tearing down a pile of 1350/54s to make stublers out of, the chains should all be the same. Most of the parts will interchange from one to the other.

On a side note, if all you want is a chain, I have a few in my left over parts box. I could sell you one CHEAP!
