new setup soon

i am hoping to be replacing my stock speakrs and adding an amp, and i have some questions:

1. i have a 4ga lead from the battery for my sub and will split it in 2 8ga wires for each amp. should i run (8ga) grounds directly to the seat bolt or get another d.block and use the 4ga one i have? does anyone make +/- distribution blocks?

2. should i screw the amps directly to the back seats or do something else? the seats are plastic and will probably never move. i would actually probably end up screwing crossovers/distribution/amps onto a piece of plywood and then into the seats but i wanted a second opinion.

3. infinity 5 1/4's: reference or kappas?

thanks

the back panel an the passanger side is a great place to put an amp and a far as the infinity reference i have the 6 by 8 and the 5 1/4 and the 5 1/4 s are really tin like i cant think of another way to say it but the 6 by 8s hit fairly deep stinger also sells almost any type of distibution block you can find the stuff you need on ebay and any wire you need from bagboy on ebayhe tipicaly has the best prices and keep the wires as large as you can especially the ground

I put infinity reference 4" front and rear in my explorer and I thought they sounded great. They didnt like playing lows, but they played mid/high perfect. I blew one of the front ones and replaced them with 5 1/4 JBLs and I like them alot, the mid has alot more punch to it.

As far as ground goes, connect directly to the bolt, less connections = less resistance = less headache (ideally connect grounds directly to batt). And make sure your grounds are same size (or bigger) than power wire.

Try to use factory grounds. It might help avoid unwanted noise.

Stinger makes a "T" block that has 4ga in with 4ga outs, if you wanted to run all 4ga all around.

I vote Kappas. I use them in my other vehicle. Not big bass output, but that is what a sub is for
