geebus lots of people getting all sorts of sidewayz! Nice!

Mr Boyle, skip the junky rubber style trans mount and go straight to a urethane Energy mount, or better yet Autofab makes a trick urethane trans mount that will really hold.

Those stock mounts rip apart in nothing flat when wheeling, and at $70 a pop I just couldnt see myself replacing another one..

John and I are home. We had a blast

On the drive home I noticed that I was getting more wind noise than usual and found that my passenger side doors don't line up anymore, with the rear door not sealing at the top, so I tweeked my body somewhere. While I nearly laid it over twice, I didn't add any new body artwork (damage) so I'm a bit as to how. I also put a ding in my rear driveshaft so its not quite in balance anymore.

Its a good thing too 'cause I had to winch Matt and Marshall out. :p Matt needed a rear locker and Marshall needed a better line (dang full width ) and some bead locks so he can actually air down those IROKS.

However after not making Dump Bump, the Steelbender ledge and Hummer hill (and Widowmaker two years ago) my Rig is going on a serious diet soon. With all the tools and spare stuff in back once I get up at that steep of an angle all the weight is in the wrong location.

We got back around 6:30 safe & sound. We decided to take the scenic route along the river and ended up waiting for almost a half an hour for them to work on the road.
I'll try and get pictures up in the next couple days but I want to get to bed early tonight for a change. I need to take an extra day off the re-coop from these crazy get-to-gathers.
It was really nice meeting old friends that we hadn't seen in a while & meet all the new ones. Sorry but I'm not very good with names & I know there were a few that I didn't get to talk to very much since we did different runs.

SPA'S, I'm glad to finally meet you. I am glad you came out & I'm pretty sure you got a full weekend of wheeling...

Didn't surprise me when she said she was going to leave around 10:00 and her flight was like 2:00 or something like that and it's a 5 hour drive. She hasn't driven in Denver traffic before...(could it have been a blonde moment?)

Ditch the back seat and put all the heavy stuff on the floor. That helped the balance of mine quite a bit.

I had a great time and it was good to meet new people from the board and see old friends as well. I really enjoyed this trip since I did trails that I had never done before and 1 trail that I had only done once in my 5 or 6 years of attending. The scenery was awesome as always. I was quite suprised when I sank about 3 ft in a snow bank while walking up a trail late Sunday afternoon

My pictures are all here (they are in reverse order): My Moab06 Pics

Friday I got to town about 3 and after checking in I found Perry and we did Gemini Bridges and Long Canyon:

Saturday I led a small group up Top of the World:

Sunday had a few trails none of us had ever done before. We did Onion Creek, Thompson Canyon, FR33, "Never Ending Road", and 1/2 of LaSal pass where we encountered 3'-4' of snow blocking the trail. We found a mapping mistake in the Wells book that took us on a few hour Serious Exploration

I will do a better write up in a day or 3.

All the photos are great. I've enjoyed looking through them. If you haven't noticed I have been placing links to everyone's photo galleries in the first post of this thread. That way they can be easily accesed.

I had a GREAT weekend in Moab. Got to town Thursday eve, ran Steelbender on Friday, Golden Spike on Saturday, and Left town Sunday morn.
I didn't get to meet everyone, but met some new faces, and some old faces.
I was in the lucky minority that had no breakdowns or other issues.
I only took ONE picture the whole trip. , and it was on the drive home. My AC is not working, and I drove 12 hours with the window down cuz it was so damn hot. I stopped in Baker, CA (between Barstow and Vegas) to take a pick for some proof. If you can't make out the temp, it's 119.
