Mixing door speakers? Good or bad...

So back when I did my system installation I only put new speakers in the front doors (pioneer 6x8's). Now I want to put a set in the back doors (the factory speakers there are starting to...die).

2 questions:

1) Is there going to be a problem mixing brands? Frankly I am about 90% sure i'm just gonna put another set of pioneer's back there, probably the same model, but just in case, I wanted to ask.

2) Will I be able to notice any difference in sound because one pair will be more broken in and older than the other? Not really sure what to expect, but I guess it can only get better than it is now

just curious, heh

I think it would only sound weird if you installed one brand on the left side of the truck and a different model or brand on the right side of the truck. That would probably sound weird. :p

I have Pioneer 6x8 in both the front and back, but one set is slightly different than the other; the fronts are 2 way and the rears are 3 way (I got a good price on the fronts). I don't really notice much difference in the way they sound.

Yeah, I put the 4-ways in the front and they are great. Good filling sound, pretty clear. I mean unless I was going to do components I don't think that I could really improve on them for 100 bucks in any of the other 6x8 brands. They are all pretty similar, from the top brands like pioneer, infinity, etc. I can pick up a pair for about 90 or so and I'll probably install them in the next few weeks when I have time off.
