Broken swaybar end link
So I was installing new shocks today and I noticed my front passenger side end-link to the swaybar was completely disconnected. The body and bottom nut to the end-link are still there, but there is no connector anymore between the top of the end-link to the swaybar itself.
Do you guys know any place that sells stock replacement explorer swaybar endlinks? Thanks, Zach |

Why go stock? I scored "Energy Suspension" poly swaybar bushings and endlinks in a kit for something like $40 CAD. MUCH better than OEM and can't beat the price. Noticeable improvement in front-end feel to boot. They have a kit that is designed for most 2nd gen Explorers too. I think they have an application guide on their site.

I second the Energy Supension stuff. I bought a kit a couple years back from Central 4wd. I ordered online, but I think they have a couple stores up your way too.

Thanks guys!
I noticed Summit Racing sells many of the Energy Suspension endlinks, are the "universal" ones the right ones to buy? and how long should they be? |

I like the more solid feel of the Energy Suspension end-links on the street, but I also like to disconnect my front sway bar on the trail (both for comfort and the extra inch or two of travel). In doing so, I found the Energy Suspension end links much harder to take off and put back on "on the fly" because their links have three pieces in the middle where the stock has only one. With the stock inner bushings attached to the end link itself, there are less parts to fumble with and it's only a few minutes. For my uses, I ended up ditching the Energy Suspension links and just using their poly bushings on the ends. It still feels better than stock on road and is much easier to take on and off. IMO, you get the biggest handling benefit by simply replacing the outer bushings, so if one of mine breaks in the future, I'll be replacing it with a stock link + poly outer bushings. Edit: My ES end-links were 10 and 3/8" long. __________________ Ritsui 1998 Explorer Sport 4x4 SOHC V6, 4.10 (aussie locked 2" TT, 3" lift springs, K&N w/cheeze, 32" BFG clones, 120v/12v outlets |

Quick question
I am looking at Summit part # ENS-9-8149R
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku What do they mean by "sleeve length?". The distance between the bushings on my stock end link is about 5 inches, is that the sleeve length? |

MOOG & TRW replacement sway bar end links come with urethane bushings as well.
