Removing DIN Radio

Hello,

I have the typical DIN and a half radio in my '98 Explorer Sport. I was wondering if there is a way to get the radio out without having to buy the DIN Tools??

I think I read on here that you can use coat hanger wire but I did not work for me, I think I did it wrong?

Any help is appreciated.

Hey Lazz, you may want to give this a shot.
Go to your local Circuit City (or equivalent), tell them you need 5 minutes for one of their guys to walk out to your truck and pop the radio out.
Just tell them it's a ford factory radio, they'll know what you mean (hopefully )
Done that a few times with company vehicles and they always accomodate(for free).

They aren't that expensive of a tool though, maybe you should pick one up just to have on hand. I've got 2 sets I think.

OUCH!
Shoot for half that I'd have mailed you one of my sets.
But save yourself a few bucks and pick one up local, or like I said, ask a guy at circuit city to do it for ya.
