I almost couldn't get the pulley off with the puller I was using because of the radiator. I wasn't about to take the thing off either so I managed to move it back just enough to get the tool in there. I pulled the rest of the way off by hand.

How did you mange to get yours off Aldive?

Rocket - Thanks. I tested some more, and under hard take-offs, only one wheel spins no matter what. I'm thinking the only reason the two spun is because we we're barely spinning the wheels.

Not sure what number on the door you're referring too. I assume the number under the axle column?

As described in http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/...erdrive+pulley

Quote:
a ½” breaker bar wedged against the frame while I bumped the motor over ( one bump was all that was needed. The bolt was then removed ( with my 3/8” air ratchet )

One wheel is spinning because you have an "open" (or conventional) differential.
Axle code 46 is a 3.73:1 open diff, so unless YOU swapped it out...

Aftermarket ignitions aren't really needed. Good plugs (properly gapped) and wires are a must. I've used MSD and Accel boxes on the older EEC-IV, but not the EEC-V. Maybe, someday, when it's boosted...

I pulled the radiator when I installed mine. My puller wouldn't even fit with the rad installed.

No performance updates. I'm working on the brakes, supension, drive-train.....

Ordered Slotted rotors and will install next.

Will order the larger rear sway bar from XExpress along with the front urathane bushings.

Then convert the open rear to a posi-trac.

Then I can proceed with the performance.....

talk with JAH81592 for the crank pulley.

I got the water pump pulley and alt pulley from stuffforyourranger.com

fyi, the alt pulley just spins the alt back to the orginal speed. I've been able to avoid using it so far. Others needed it. up to you, and probably depends on the extra accessories you have.
