Please Help

Is there ANYONE here that has installed an aftermarket sub and amp into a 2003 Explorer Sport (or thereabouts) and used the FACTORY head unit?

HOW did you get RCA preouts from the back of the radio to the amp? I used this:

FL-LOC600

And for some reason all I get is a really low vibration from the subs to the rythm of the music.

PLEASE, if you have installed a system similar to what I am trying to do PLEASE give me your input. I've been working on this thing for weeks.

Thanks,
Mike

I just want to make sure you have everything installed that you need...so, you've run the RCA inputs from the LOC to your aftermarket amplifier, as well as the remote turn on wire, and you ran power wire from the battery to the amp in the back and grounded it...correct?

maybe the voltage from the HU is too low? I have no clue.. If it has an external amp (not built into the HU), the voltage from the dash HU could be pretty low, compared to the output of the factory amp.. you could try putting the converters after the amp?

Can anyone tell me the wiring diagram for the Explorer Sport 2003 with 4 speakers, 1 sub, amp, and head unit with 6 disc changer? Amp is located in back right panel.

From the back of HU the 4 speaker wires come out and go to the speakers? The amp? And the subs wires go to the amp (obviously) but what colors are the wires (+ and -) between the amp and the sub? BL and WT? I took off the quarter panel that pops off but cannot even see the amp. There is a big plastic shield over it all that I don't know how to remove.

HELP!
