posible TB mod
i heard about a TB mod that a corvette can get, not sure if any of us have this but here it is... if you have a TB that has coolant running thru it, there is a way to bypass it from the plenum to getting it to the TB, i dont know how, i would guess with a spacer and curve it into the return. but anyways, by doing that u keep the air temp lower and therefore cold air intake works better, so better performance. anyways, thought i would share that just in case some of us have that... oh and any thoughts on that

I believe the 96-97 v-8 have a coolant line going thru EGR plate?

how much power does that add? Is that kind of like water injection?

I know that the 5.0 V8 has cooling lines running through the EGR plate. But it is engine coolant so it will be hot liquid. I have heard of people bypassing and running cold water through it there for giving the intake charge a cooler.

if you block the cooling to an EGR plate without losing the EGR itself your intake charge will get hotter- the water is COOLING the intake.

3rd gen v6 firebird and camaro can do this mod as well, I did it to mine and didn't notice a problem. If you live where it's really cold then it's not a good idea because supposedly the throttle body fin can ice up which the coolant flowing through would thaw...

The stock PCV valve/line on the 4.0 SOHC has a coolant line running around it.
