Honda Civic knowledge here?

Well this sucks--
My son's 92 Civic was parked overnite at his girlfriends house, in the Westport area of Kansas City. Someone did the you guessed it, broke in his driver side window, stole his Kenwood. In the process, they did this damage.
Any idea what the parts are called, and a good forum to find help?
I think we need a new climate control unit, along with the dash piece.

Ebay has a few of the radio/heater bezel for like $65. I think my brother might have the parts you need. The bezel might be black. Does your son have a sedan, coupe or hatchback? let me know if you want me to ask him?

See, I knew this was still the correct forum ha ha

I did join the honda forum--at least I think I did.(thanks Froader!)
seems to have an activation delay to the accounts----
Nate (my son) is supposed to be calling back. He is at a salvage yard right now having the window replaced for 75 total--they are checking the inventory for the dash pieces.

Yup, you can just about any info you want on this forum. Just let me know, both my older brothers have '92-'94 hatchback and you woudn't believe the extra parts they have lying around. And I am more then glad to get rid of them any chance I get.

Let me know, what your son can't find at the salvage yard and when I get home I can ask my brother what he has.

Well they got the window working. The cars were just different enough they didn't know if the other parts would work---

Guess we need the side mirror, radio bezel thingy and climate control box.

For a start---

That sounds high to me, but side windows are $18 at the local pick-a-part.

Maybe so, but that did include labor.
Also--he is about 2 hrs away from me--driving would have cost more--

dont be afraid to paint it if you cant find the exact color, my airbag cover came out perfect and is holding up 100% even to certain passengers putting their feet up there.....

I agree. The product I used had an adhesion promoter, and a dye.
It seems to melt into the plastic. I don't think it can peel if done correctly.
Good stuff.

Sorry didn't get home from work until late. I will talk with him in the mourning and see about the mirror and control box. I know he has a gray bezel, hell he has a complete spare interior. Just need to see if he wants to get rid of it and how much. I Should be able to let you know by about 1 tomorrow. By control box do you mean the heater and A/C control panel? here is a link for what I am referring to and or another option for you.

Alright talked with my brother earlier and he does not have the control panel or driver side mirror. Only a passenger side one. He does have the bezel. how does $25 plus shipping sound? I can get a pic whenever I get home tonight.

Good to hear you can piece your sons car back together, I have had my car vandalized before and I can can't believe people will go that low. I will get the pic of the bezel tonight once I get home and will try and get a box from work to get a shipping estimate.

My sister bought this new, then we got it for him when she "upgraded"
It has been a great, reliable ride. Nate really isn't into cars much--and this is just getting him thru Feb. He is going to Film Production school in Vancouver. He can't have a vehicle while there ( weird rules) , so it will be sold.

I can only imagine the future of the thief---and what his goals are today.
