Hi Folks,
I'm afraid that the time has come when I need to part with my Explorer, much as I'd love to keep it and learn some offroading skills I've just moved house and need some central heating!!!
The spec is as follows:
2000 V North Face
Metallic Green with full grey leather interior
Std spec with single electric tow bar (used 3 times to tow a boat)
Nicholson McClaren AG multipoint LPG system fitted by authorised LPGA installer (£2100)
114k miles (I bought the car in 2004 with 42k - it's basically ran up & down the M6 and around the midlands as I'm a Territory manager)
MOT till April
Tax now expired
Serivice History:
The previous owner had the car serviced by Ford, since then i've had the car serviced by my Brother in Law who used to be a mechanic.
Repairs (eg antiroll bar links last year) have been done by a 4x4 specialist garage
I also had a full service on the LPG system last year
It requires a couple of tyres and possibly a brake servo. It's also overdue a service (but I had Platinum plugs fitted last time it was done which should be fine)
Condition is good - a few scuffs, the odd minor dent (dent devil type) and the Alloys could do with being refurbished as the laquer has flaked.
I'm based in Stafford - M6 J14
In terms of price - I'm a realist and I'm keen to sell so I have it advertised for £3200 - I've seen R plates up for more and North Face models for £5K+
I've got some photos that I'll try and post ASAP but if you're interested or know someone who may be please don't hesitate to call me on 07887 537 894.
One more thing, thanks to Howard who over the past couple of years has been a real help to me - cleaning MAF sensors etc - although i've not been a great contributor to the site, it's been a great.
Ben.
