Interchangeable Parts

We have a 2000 Explorer XLS SOHC and I would like to install some LED taillights and I can not find any to fit this year. There are some other things I would like to do and just would like to know what other models are interchangeable with this car. People are telling me the ranger and others are telling me to see if it is a late 2000 or early 2000 model because I may beable to use the 01 suff. I am not sure and don't want to spend money on things that will not work and would like the pros advice before I purchase anything.

Thanks
Wade

Welcome to this forum! I remember seeing a thread on here with a link to some place which sold the entire taillight as an assembly with LEDs built into it. Check this link first: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/...d.php?t=157011. It discusses the grounding problem with LED taillight bulbs, and the transmission's TCC solenoid.

I would like to replace the whole housing with a LED version not just the bulb. I have a buddy that has some on his f-150 and he does not have any issue and I have a pair on my SRT-4 (I know a dodge not the same thing) and they have a built-in circuit board that is why I would like to replace the whole assem. with a LED one.

Thanks
