3rd gen seats in a 2nd gen?

Hi,

Ive got a 98 with grey cloth seats that i want to upgrade to leather/power. I've been looking on ebay and there are an aweful lot of 3rd gen seats...so i am thinking would 3rd gen seats be able to fit in a 2nd gen with a little fabrication? I dont know anyone with a 3rd gen so i havent been able to take a look at a 3rd gen.

Thanks

Alot of fabrication to say the least. The seat and track are one piece unlike the two piece Explorer seats.

Not saying that its not possible, but its going to take alot of work.

Unless it stopped at 98, but I thought explorer seats were all interchangable from 91 and up? It must have been from 91 to 98 I just cant remember.. /shrug
