not sure if this is the correct place for this post, but before i could even enjoy my 93 explorer it has come down to a partout. too much wrong with it underneath and im not abt to sink 8 times what i paied for the explorer itself (250). i was just wondering if anyone had some free time and wouldnt mind sharing prices on any and all parts on the 93 explorer xlt. it would be much appreciated. id like to make money back for this but i dont want to look like a fool posting rediculous prices either. ok on to the x.

-the goods -
new clutch and pressure plate -valeo brand. i didnt buy this it came installed on the truck but it was never used.
front headlight assemblys both sides, and front chrome grill ...a1 condition.
5speed manual 4wd transmission w/o shifter w/o slave 99k miles
front driveshaft
ecu
all wiring relays and fuses
radio, dash, climate controls, center console, ignition w/key
door electronics
anything on the steering column, including steering wheel
serpentine belt
alternator, starter, power steering pump
coil, wires
tear drop rims (im pretty sure based on searching in this forum)
4.0 engine 99k miles (needs oil pan and valve cover gaskets....never heard run but will turn at the crank by hand)
tps, maf, air box etc
prop rods for rear hatch
all glass
prob other stuff too but cant think off the top.

i will have pics off all items when ready to post.

i paid 250 for the truck + 20 for tow fees and i had 200 invested plus another 150 for the tranny to be put back in and going through the truck i noticed way too much wrong with it to go any further so im trying to make my money back. rear end gears are shot, leaf springs are gone, all suspension is bad, all ball joints shot, rear frame bracket almost completely rusted...lessons learned right. alright sorry for the long post but those are the things off the top that i can think of that are in good condition and if anyone has any time could they please post a fair-reasonable price w/o shipping on the parts. thanks guys, i hate to be out of the x before i even got into it but i enjoyed this site very much and maybe someday ill get a decent explorer. after i get the prices set for this i will be posting a final thread in the for sale section. thanks to all in advance.

Does it have a manual shift tcase? You could probably get $200-$300 for it if it does.

What about a center console. I know two guys looking for one. One tan, one gray.

ill have to ask my buddy on the power steering gear box. hes the one that looked over this thing today. as far as the pump goes, never heard it run so i dont know.

yup np, like i said earlier its not gonna be till abt another week b4 i get over there to take some pics. inside is filthy as hell, just about the only clean thing is the dash lol. its basically a storage right now so interior pics pretty much are accurate. after deciding to part-out , i just threw a bunch of shit in there. the truck has the obvious 4 tires plus 3 spares all the same brand. i can come up with 4 clean matching tires with about 90% on 3 and 70% on 1. shipping is gonna be the bitch tho. im in upstate ny (massena). anyone local is free at any time to get a hold of me.

ya no problem what were ur plans when u got this trk ??i just read ur other posts an seems like ur mechanic didnt do much ??
is the frame really rotted or just the rear spring hanger depending on what codes u find on driver door id come after the rims an some other parts

i originally got it cuz of price and i wanted an suv and ive always like the 1st gen explorer body style. i love the space inside, would make room for a killer system, and good for trails in this area. camping season coming up

the seller (which bought it from someone else) sold it to me in the condition he got it in. he just didnt want to deal with it or he lied to me straight up. i dont care at this point. lol. yea the mechanic is an ass and i still have to set this straight with him. he just tossed the tranny in with half the bolts in and destroyed the oil pan. didnt even install the slave right (new part...luckily i got a return on it). its in bad shape underneath, i didnt notice all the stuff till my explorer genius helped me out. lol, he was under the truck and he was going on and on about what was wrong with it. so here i am. lol. its all good tho. ill take pics of everything anyone asks here, its not a problem at all. anything to help both of us out im here.
