Oil change light
Still having trouble getting my "oil change" light to go out .I have set the oil change period to 60% as the oil change period is 3000 miles but the change oil light keeps coming on. How do I set it when you change the oil as the dealer has changed it the last two times. You help would be appreciated
Jim

When you go through the menu into system check, there is an option to Reset the Oil Change Life to 100%, that'll fix the problem...

no the percentage decreases according to the number of miles driven...it would be pointless if it stayed at 100% continuously

Many people stumble with this, including me. It helped me to understand there are TWO menus. The first lets you change the frequency of oil changes, which you did to 60%, and the other menu is the SYSTEM CHECK menu as stated earlier. You need to hold the selector button down at the initial(?) point to select the second menu, before going into the primary menu options. Ford really messed up with the whole computer menu and use analysis. Obviously designed by engineers.
