how do u remove 89 B2 fuel regulator ?

im stuck trying to remove the fuel pressure rugulator on a late 89 B2 .

its totally different type of connection on my 88 . it has a lock type collar that you remove but it still wont release it spins but wont let go even after all pressure was removed from the lines ..

Is there a secret tool/ black squirrel majic to this ?

There's a plastic tool they sell at automotive stores designed for this. It's basically a "C" ring which releases the spring holding the fitting.

You put the C ring around the fuel line, press it firmly into the spring-side, and work out the fuel line...there's about 3/4" inside the fitting, and it is a tight fit.

if you have the fuel line undone undo the 2 bolts and wggle it free. i had one that wouldn't let go untill i thought i was going to snap the fuel rail so i found if ya pull at an angle it come free easy
