Ball Joint Quest

I've decided with much help from the wonderful people of this forum its time to replace the balljoints. My course for concern today is what store carries the balljoints with the zerk fitting? My fear being premature wear of the OEM one's due to lack of lubrication. Thanks for everyones help its greatly appreciated!

MOOG & McQua Norris both have grease zerks.

If yu can wait a week for delivery get them from here:

http://stores.ebay.com/UnderCarSuppl...Q3amesstQQtZkm

It will be 1/2 as much as the national chains.

Mine will be here today. They would have been here Wed but UPS forgot to pick them up last Friday.

Welcome to this forum! The OEM joints last a long time. They are pre-greased. If you decide to get ball joints with zerk fittings, make sure that you always use the same kind of grease. Some types of grease may interact with each other. A lot of people now use synthetic grease, although any grease will keep them lubricated.

I agree with Brooklyn, sealed ones are mantanence free and they last a loooong time...as long as they arent busted.

For the upper balljoint, since you need to replace the upper control arm, is the ball joint already greased, or do you have to grease it somehow. Mine is getting replaced i just want to know what i have to do?

It is sealed unless you have a grease fitting to add more grease.
