Cost me $65 shipped. Its the offset in/single out muffler. Single each side. I bought it for:

1)Fuel Mileage. Flow through design helps with power/fuel economy
2)Deeper/louder sound

This muffler sounds pretty good. No drone crusing/highway, but this baby gets pretty loud when on the gas. Noticable power increase compared to the turbo muffler I had on before. Nice investment Id say!
Sounds almost exactly what i'm looking to get from my exhaust...can you work on getting a video or a sound clip?

Has anyone who is running straight y pipes had any problems with removing the sensor in the Cat just before the muffler? I was wanting to cut off the cats and run just the y pipe untill I can get to my uncles shop to weld up a Flowmaster 40 series, but dont want any check engine lights or bad gas milage

I wish I could but I do not have a dig camera at the moment. I will see if I can borrow one soon

I am only using 2 out of the 4 02s. I had the 2 02s right before the muffler turned off with a tune. Removing this without turning them off/tricking the computer WILL cause a CEL.

I highly doubt the dealer will do this. To me, its like asking them to take the cats out. Its there for emissions and such so they probably will say sorry Easiest way is to get a tune done from Bama Chips, or the like, or search for 02 sensor CEL eliminators. Custom exhaust shops can do this for you

here is the video of mine
YouTube Video
If you are able to see this message it means that you don't have flash installed or that the video server is down.

NOTE: 1998 SOHC Vortex muffler from cherry bomb (88107 or 88106) had resonator removed and replaced with piping, and the ebay's verison the the KKM. sounds nice and deep (for a v-6) not ricer at all, not too loud but you really know its not stock

Doesn't sound too bad at all. I'm sure the video doesn't do the sound justice at all. I've been following this thread closely lately as I am looking to upgrade the exhaust on my Frontier, I know its a different motor and all, but its still a 4.0, only that this one is DOHC. Its going to be hard to find the sound that I want and not be too loud. Nice work though.

Dan

ya mine sounds pretty much like yours, it sounds a little deeper then it does in the video, some times 2500k rpms it has some loud resonance , but thats when i think it sounds the best

just noticed when i turned my bass all the way down it sucked so if you can turn your subwoofer/bass up to max and thats what it really sounds like

I got rid of my single flowmaster 40. Got dual straights instead. No mufflers = loud and I'm lovin' it.

Flowmaster super 40 or a Cherry Bomb pro or extreme

Which muffler would you decide on the Flowmaster super 40 or the cherry bomb pro or extreme. I am looking for a throater v8 sound and i have a V6 sohv engine.

On my truck, OHV, the Cherrybomb gave me a deeper sound than the Flowmaster. The SOHC is going to sound a little different though.
