I read it from a local morning newspaper that Ford/Firestone MAY consider recalling the 16" tires as well. I sure hope they would do it! I'm asking all the people here who have custom rims OR tires as to what all of you think the two companies should do to your stock tires?

A.)Replace the 16" Firestone tires with another brand
B.)Give you a fair amount of cash for the tires

Since I have the 17" Pirellis, I'll give them back the tires and walk away with the cash. It sounds easy eh?

The reason why I posted this thread is because I need to find out if --(assuming the 16" will be recalled)-- the dealer will give me the run around just because I have a different size of rims and I have a Pirelli, which is not the brand Ford contracted to replace the Firestone tires.

Well if you still got your wheels, I would but them back on if there is a recall on them. Then change the wheels again. I would do that so I can sell them and make a profit myself.
I don't think Bridgestone/Firestone have much of there non-recalled tires to replace. I think definately other brands..I hope!

Don’t hold your breath.

I have just received my letter from FORD telling me that my truck tire IS NOT one that is being recalled. So if FORD things it is important enough to tell me that my 16 inch tire is OK then unless some outside force makes them change their minds they are not going to recall them.
