Crazy Ranger! AKA Tonka III

Ok first I must apologize...No pics

So I went to Ikea and on the way oper I notice a Solid Axle Yellow Ranger on abount 44" boggers with no front clip and a huge motor in the bed being towed by a F350. This was all parked in front of a little warehouse.

Hmmmm I said...

So on the way back I stopped and took a little looky and talked to the guys. Turns out the guy that owns the little hobby space works for ORU in the day time. He had a FJ40 they were working on, that they dubbed the bed and gave the front a lift-forward front clip. A late 70's Dodge pick up, a burban, and anothe chevy pick up. and then they hid a Hi-lux for playing with.

anyways back to the Ranger. it had a 60 on leafs under the front and a 14 bolt in the rear, and they were about to drop in a duramax in it

Bit overkill for me...but what ever

I guess it's spose to be shot for a magazine cover in the next 2 weeks. Truck has has Tonka III all over it, and a bunch other sponcers. He said he's built about 10 cover trucks.

Next time I see it, I'll snag a few pics

Don't know the owner but he hangs out at Azusa Canyon all the time.

I've seen it at TDS last time if not the year before...I thought the Tonka thing went outta style in the 90's
