original keyless entry code

Is there a way to get the original keyless entry code on my 1996 Explorer? Did not write it down and I would like to start using it again, or at least program a second code that I will remember. I'm thinking that I'll have to go back to the dealer. Thanks for the help.

Hey i had the same problem. Found my code in the back. Open up the hatch. Remove the side panal in the rear on the left side take a flash light and shine it in there and there should be a sticker on a box back there and thats your code. hope this helps.
