$1,000 OBO, Or give me an idea what you would pay.

Iam just gonna ask what you would give me for the 1997 explorer XLT 4x4 V6SOHC 103,000 miles. dark green/tan. sunroof, running boards pwr everything.
Expired inspection (justs needs new E-brake pads)
Coolent leak, engine is louder cause coolent leak
needs front drivers side hub (dealer said)-makes noise when turning and stopping
Drivers door and driver side fender dented.
radio, foglight, defrost switch as well as rear a/c switchs do not light up.
exhaust rattle- rattles when stopped some times as soon as you hit the gas it goes away.
minor rust on rear bumper near plate.
drivers seat recline handle broken
spare wheel/tire is on the car and does not have the factory rim.
missing 3 center caps on rims.
Rear end sag-common prob
It runs and drives- I think it could drive a good distance with no problems (might not be the quiestest or smoothest ride but i think it would make it).
Class 5 trailer hitch NOT INCLUDED

Never let me down once had problems but never left me stranded
better gas mileage then the V6-OHV
New shocks
good shape tires
New headlights
clear corners.

I dont care if you say only $50 bucks just give me a idea of what someone would pay for this. I need to get rid of this truck. You could use it for parts, off-roading, fix it. It doesnt matter to me. Dealers offered me between $1,500-1,900 on a trade of a new car. even if your not looking to buy it just say what you would pay. Thanks

Ha, your welcome? its nice, just has little problem.. panels and doors can be fixed as well as hubs and gaskets. Those are not big deals. plus, it only has 103000 miles. thats really good for a 10 year old truck.

When I traded in my '96 XLT a year ago (118k miles) they gave me $2,800 on a new Ranger. Then it went on the lot for $5,400. It was pretty much perfect condition, though. I'd say $2,000 would be a good price.

That coolant leak sounds like it could be from the intake or head gasket area if it is making it run louder. With that being the case, I'd pay around $1200 and expect to stick another grand into it and a good weekend to fix it up. (that is without the body work of course). If it was closer to my neck of the woods, I'd say this is a serious offer. Just no way I could make a trip right now.

There is a 1999 in similar condition here in Denver for $1500. I thought that was a good deal. LINK http://denver.craigslist.org/car/698632042.html Granted 2wd and more miles.
