That's something to get rear ended twice by the same ambulance....not funny it happened but a funny coincidence.

Well, just got back from my follow up at the hospital, and my knee is OK (no torn ACL/MCL) but I have 2 fractures in my ankle where the Tibia & Fibula meet along with some bone chips floating around, cartilage damage and many deep tissue contusions.
The Harley should be at the shop sometime today and will find out the damages on Tuesday.
The worst part is that I'm laid up at the apartment and can't drive for who knows how long.

Robert, our prayers for a fast recovery, and a fixable bike.

On another note, has anyone ever looked into an media coverage for our Moab run. I wonder if any magazines would be interested in covering our run. Even if we have interest someone could write it up and I think Rick would share some pictures and submit it to a mag.

Tim

Rick tried to get several different magazines to cover the 10th. ann. runs and it seems that not a single one showed any interest.

Oh and Show, sorry to hear about the ankle and the bike. My friend here in junction just got his 93 LowRider back last week. He t-boned a 130lb. rottwiler(sp?) while we were in Oklahoma back in November. Hope the bike is salvagable.

The last time I've heard of them having interest was the 2000 truckhaven run.. four wheeler and Ford both showed up.

RE: magazine coverage....I am trying! I have a good friend in the industry and I keep trying to get him to come out to one of the Explorer runs. Probably wont happen for Moab but maybe I can get him to come for another event later this year.

I actually left a semi-professional looking 10 page document ON THE DESK of the editor of Petersen's 4wheel & Offroad a few years ago, detailing (with big pretty pictures) how amazing our Moab runs are, and how it's a huge Explorer event, but they never contacted me or Rick I think that because Easter Jeep Safari is held a few weeks before our run, they don't want to overdo Moab coverage As if the world has enough Moab, ha.

That would be awesome. BTW: I saw your H1 wheel article in Crawl. Excellent work!

The lack of media coverage has to be a Jeeper conspiracy. They don't want to let the word get out about how good our Explorers really are offroad. They would rather see the old Explorers all get crushed so the only SUVs left on the trail are Cherokee unibodies

I believe you are totally correct Rick, you see it everywhere. magazines, after market, media, everywhere. new parts are built for a jeep every 3 minutes yet new parts for an explorer mmmmm every 2 years at best. The after market doesn't seem to watch what sells, Being the Explorer has been the best selling SUV since inception

...i totally agree with you Rick......maybe we can work on doing something special, put a date on it, and hammer on all the media for an event...maybe tie it in with paulb's truck unveiling since his truck has been in a few mags already...
