Im in the market for a mp3 player

Im gonna put this here because i guess it falls in the Multimedia area??? If not move it.

Im looking for a mp3 player. I dont want to pay a lot for it but i want something nice. I need something to keep me occupied on my flight to CA in January.

I have been scanning ebay but have not found much that interest me.

It can be used. Im not opposed to that.

Just go to walmart dude. They have simple ones that are pretty cheap. Or, check ol' craigslist.com......used stuff is always cheap.

Ebay isn't much of a bargain these days... moreover this time of year when everyone wants something shipped in time for Christmas. I suggest NewEgg or any chain store if you just have to touch it first.

2GB, $42 (after rebate...).

The Muvo is fairly cheap plastic construction, but they seem to last a long time and for its size it's pretty easy to use and has a decent menu system.

You could also get a 1GB Zen stone for $32

There are tons of crap MP3 players around, so I've been sticking with Creative. I'm sure some of the less well known brands are fine, but I haven't bothered to try them in a store to be sure.

1GB isn't much these days, but it'll give you more than enough space (several full albums and a dozen podcasts) to keep you busy on a short trip.

I would go with one of the ones ritsui mentioned. The cool thing about some of those creative players, is that the have a usb plug integrated, and can be used as flash storage as well(documents etc)

If you do get something used, just be warned that the battery life may be significantly lower than a brand new one. It might not last the entire flight out here.
