Went to the Pick-n-Pull....What year is this?

I went to the local Pick-n-Pull this morning, looking for center console stuff, and I came home with two aux. ATF coolers and an air box from a BMW 735. I'm going to use the airbox with a snokel system that I'm piecing together. My question is this: What year is this bimer? I want to replace the factory Knecht LX 106 paper filter with a K&N.

Thanks guys, I did a bit of looking around online and I'm pretty sure it's an '88ish model. The cool thing is that K&N has the same filter (part number) for several different BMWs of that era. I'll post a write-up whenever I finally get around to installing my projects.
