Mark, maybe we need to figure out a weekend wrenching day for your truck. Shawn and I spent saturday working on my Explorer, tackled another item from the list.

While working with Dan on his truck, he twisted my arm to come along, so I'm in! I don't have a trail rig, so I'll be riding along and hanging out.

[hijack] Dan, did you get that last run of brake line done?[/hijack]

yup, I bled the brakes last night, one of the flares had a drop of fluid pass by but with a few tight turns of the wrenches I got it to seal.

I can't test and set the proportioning valve yet because I need to drive the truck to do that. Right now, it shoots gas out of my FPR because I'm waiting on a line.

After I get that, fuel pump and hopefully get my winch mounted I should be good for the season.

I'll chime in as a maybe for Oct 25-26. Been awhile since I've been in 4X, since last Truckhaven trip I think...and the wife is due for a girl on November 8th. (though she could come with and deliver at Salton Medical Center)

Still wanna try and get new leafs and shocks before another trip but it's not necessary. And maybe gas will be $3.00/gal by then?

Hey Joe, you can have my old leafs if you want, there not in perfect shape but still have some life in them, and maybe there better then what you have now.

I'd like to get my rear bumper finished before the next trip, get the roof lights hooked up, and maybe I should fix it so I can use 4HI again

I still gotta get that dang shock replaced from the TDS trip and the steering fixed from the November run! But I gotta get change the oil, replace all 4 shocks & repace the left & right drag links in the SD first; hopefully I can get it done this weekend.

Edit: SD Oil & oil Filter, fuel filter and coolant filter change done! Shocks for the SD will be here tomorrow.

Thanks, Steve. I am looking for 4-5" lift leafs because I want to stay SUA and lose the shackles, so I'll go with a custom set or Superlift. Are your old leafs stock?

(And to stay on the thread topic I'll add some keywords: waterfall, night run, windy)

Yeah that's Gil... he's up in No. Cal now.

Joe yes they are my factory leafs, they were just starting to "W" when I pulled them off. I put factory 1st gen ones in with less miles. I changed them out when I did the SAS.

Maybe I'll finish t-haven 08 before we go back

I got about half way through making it...But I just can't get into it, because I was not there. Makes it really tuff. Arus saw it and told me "not your best work...Start over." Tuff crowd!

Bring her along, Joe. I have a birthing kit in my EMT bag that is at least 17 years old, I am sure its still good.
