Question need advise , compressor replacement 92 ex

the current compressor is getting ready to fail still works but very noisey ( ratteling ) i picked up a drier ( old one had black oil in it ) , and a oriface tube and a can of pag 100 oil , a compressor is 180.00 from autozone , i dont want to spent alot into this truck but what about the compressors in a salvage yard ? 91 - 01 explorers what to look for , for a good one 25 bucks sounds better than 180.00 , AND which hole in the compressor do you pour the oil into before reinstalling , i have read though tons of posts here about this and all seems the same in the procedures of how to do this . thx

ALSO - is it normal for a compressor to cycle on and off , or just stay on all the time ?????

{ UPDATE } removed the oriface tube and no wonder why i didnt get any cold air the darn thing was coated with black gunk and peices of the teflon from the compressor , i guess i should get a new compressor since i see what happens to them when there 16 years old

the compressor should cycle on and off when the a/c is running, but it should run for 30 secs to 1 min before it cycles off

check out www.rockauto.com they have a new compressor with clutch for 159.00

everytime i order from them i select ground and get next day shipping lol
