brake controller.

Hey all!! I am new to this site, so much great info. Way to go. I have to install a brake controller in my 2000 XLT 4.0 SOHC. Both wires at the brake switch that are powered when the pedal is pressed also go to ground when the pedal is not pressed. Anyone have experience with this??
