ok i hit a car yesterday at 6"00pm after work...pretty good!The body shop my buddy owns quoted me 2800$ for damages and i know my insurance would not cover a 16 year old vehicle.
while skipping the basics i'll geive so tips since i did this bymy self today from 10:00 am-6:30pm...ok i pulled the fender (10) 8mm bolts.and 3 phillps head screws for the driverside fender.the rock guard has to com e loose from fender to remove hence the extra 2 bolt you woulnt see they are locaeted behind the inned fender molding near horn.i pulled the restof the rock gaurd.which means pulling the 8mm bolt under the batter that ties in to passenger side fender.
pulled front bumper (4) 18 mm bolt that ties into frame.
you have to have a good beer belly to reinstall...
i pulled the radiator core backout by hand since i wieght 240lb.
the parts at jy cost me 130$.
fender,head light,bumper, rockguard,grill.
newbulbs all around cost 20.00$
time spent with a sexy xplorer is priceless.
150 total.
i still plan on fixing the stripe's and carrying the black tone on the bottom all the way around... with bedliner!!!mooh ha ha ha
