Fuel Filter Location on 06 Explorer V8?

Hello,

I'm trying to change my fuel filter on my 06 Explorer V8. Cant for the life of me find the filter, and i'm tired of crawling around on my garage floor. Looked along both frame rails, both sides, front to back, cant find it.

Can someone pleaes tell me where it is located? Better yet, any pics?

Thanks!

Not saying they are correct, but according to Haynes the filter is mounted under the vehicle on the right side in front of the gas tank.

I do not have pics, but I will try to get you to the fuel filter. Passenger side in front of gas tank. Follow passenger side exhaust to the frame rail that crosses the car. In the corner on the passanger side there is a plastic cover that will say Fuel Filter on it. Cover is held in place by (2)10 mm nuts. When you remove plastic cover, there is a metal cover behind it, remove metal cover and there will be the filter. Depending on year model depends if you will need a fuel line tool to remove filter. Hope this helps.
