Thumbs up Some more info....

Just wanted to say Welcome and Hello to everyone who has joined since I first posted on this thread. I just wanted to add some additional information so you can find your way around the site a little better.

You may have noticed some smiles on some of the members posts and wondered where they came from. Here’s a link to help you add a little more to your posts: Smilies

Not all forums have the Smile function available, but you can still use smiles in your post by going to: http://hometown.aol.com/riffman80/smiles.html Riffman was generous enough to make this page and help save Rick some bandwidth.

Another important page on the site is the vB Codes Page This page explains everything from URL Hyperlinking to Posting Images to writing in bold, underlined, or italicized words. This is one of the most useful pages to use when you are posting. Just to let you know, you can not simply paste a photo in your post, you have to use the codes and the photo must have an address in order to be posted. Most members use http://www.photopoint.com to put their photos on the web.

For further reference on posting pictures and images, check out Lee’s helpful post at this link: Photos[/url]

If you have any further questions, feel free to e-mail either me or any of the other Moderators! Thanks, and welcome to ExplorerForum.com!

I'm baaa-aaack....

I guess I'll be spending a little more time here shortly... I've still got the lemon Explorer which hasn't moved since January, but I'm getting a 93 Ranger 4.0 OHV for a beater-vehicle. The body is solid (except for the tailgate) and the drivetrain is solid. The interior is a little worn, but nothing some hot-glue can't fix! I think it'll make a MUCH better winter vehicle than the Probe did.

If you need any help on just how to make a '93 Ranger into a beater-vehicle, just let me know!

welcome to the site

there's tons of info here for whatever you want to do with your explorer. not everyone here uses it for offroading.

i dont know the difference between american and australian models, except maybe the drivers side is on the left here

I just want to say hi to everyone and thanks for making a great site! I currently have a '91 Explorer Sport 4x4 and I love it. I have had it for 3 years and it only has 82,000 miles on the odo. I'm glad to see a site that deals with just Explorers/Navajos since I rarely see information about them in magazines these days. I will definitely be checking out the site more and posting here more too! Thanks.

Dk Exp new guy

Whats up everyone? I am a 19 year old from Alabama. I have a '96 XLT which I am trying to do some work on. Its not easy being the broke college boy that I am. However I have been able to put a mere G or so into it so far. Mostly just little things such as a westin light bar. I like it but may take it off and replace it with a rhino. My next thing will be some clear corners and a billet grill. Then my summer job should be kicking in and I will do a lift and some bigger tires. When my work is complete I will post a pic and let you professionals tell me whats good and whats not. as long as you dont hurt my feelings! I have seen some very impressive X's by the way.

Any new members on the east coast looking to join an Explorer club, please do a search for ECX or East Coast Xplorers. You'll come up with information on our club. We are always eager to accept new members!

Howdy!

I have just purchased a 2002 Explorer XLS Sport, I have owned two 4x4 pickups previously and know a healthy share of knowledege. I have been all over MI (except Drummond Island), Wisconsin (Badgerland TNT off road group a few years back) and in the South. I will try and share as much info as I can to all. I am liking this site more and more! This is my second day in here.

Talking New Member!

Hello all. Saw the reply from TwoToneX. I'm just searching around here. I am from NJ and I just recently bought a 2002 XLT, Green color. This is my 3rd Explorer, my first with 4 drs. The other two I had were Sports. I love my new one. But it has what Ford calls a "Phantom unlock". When I go to lock the driver's door with the button, it thinks the keys are in the ignition and unlocks the door on me. But it will lock with the remote on the key chain. My dealer says Ford is coming out with a solution sometime after the second quarter this year. I also saw the comment for ECX from Yob_yeknom. Is there a NJ chapter? Nice to meet you all! Green Flash

Hello- I am a new member, just joined on Friday. I haven't had much time yet to look around, but I am happy with what I see. As soon as the weather is nice and I can clean up my 2000 Explorer XLT, I will get some pictures of it on the site. Is there a Missiouri Chapter? My husband is a member of the F150 World Club, and he enjoys it so much I thought I would join the Explorer Club.

There is a Chapter for New Jersey. Do a search for East Coast Xplorers and you'll find all the info you need to start off with.

Sorry, there is no Missouri Chapter at this time. But that may change....
